The Clark School is searching for a full-time, year-round Preschool Teacher who is enthusiastic about working with young children and dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment for all families. Responsibilities: Plan and prepare curriculum Develop caring and supportive relationships with all children and their families Support other team members Ensure safety of all children Communicate daily with Co-Teachers Monitor children''s progress Communicate with parents as needed Participate in supervision and team meetings Follow the Clark School philosophy Care for the space and school equipment Participate in recommended training programs, conferences and other aspects of professional development. Other tasks as assigned Preferred Requirements: Lead teacher Toddler & Preschool certified Bachelor''s degree in early childhood or related field At least 2 years of teaching experience with toddler/preschool age children Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to pass a background check General Qualifications: Meet the state qualifications and those set forth in the national hiring standards including Commitment to caring for the needs of young children Flexibility and desire to collaborate with team Classroom management skills Good communication skills Knowledge of child development Ability to develop and present curriculum Experience teaching early childhood in a supervised setting EEC certification Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations Continual employment is subject to consistent attendance. South Shore Christian Academy is a vibrant, culturally diverse preschool - grade 12 Christian school in Weymouth, Massachusetts, in which music education is an essential and deeply valued part of the student experience. We are searching for a dynamic, skilled, and passionate music educator to teach PK-8 General Music, AND/OR Upper School Choir and Orchestra, at a small Christian school with a growing Music department. Depending on promising candidates'' availability and expertise, this position can be either full-time or part-time If the position is filled by two part-time educators, the specific responsibilities may be redistributed among the two roles in order to best match the expertise of the educators. General Music: Half-time position This individual will have formal training in music pedagogy. Help students from preschool through grade 8 to grow in musical awareness, appreciation, literacy, and skill from the earliest grades through high school, with ample opportunities at each level to make music with their voices and with various instruments such as ukulele, Orff instruments, keyboards, guitars, and others. Teach grades preschool through grade 5, once per week (eight periods per week) Teach grades 6-8, every other day for one quarter of the year on a rotating basis Direct winter and spring concerts Foster a culture of joy and discovery Exhibit and instill Christian character in students Upper School Ensembles: Half-time position This individual will have experience and expertise in strings repertoire and pedagogy and choral music and vocal pedagogy. The ability to direct other student ensembles such as jazz band is an important plus. Through relationship-building and active recruitment, continue to build the middle school and high school choir and orchestra programs, both in terms of number of students participating and in terms of quality of musicianship. Direct on-campus performances, and seek out off-campus opportunities to perform and compete, such as festivals, community performances, and touring opportunities. High school orchestra (meets three times per 7-day rotation) Middle school orchestra (meets three times per 7-day rotation) High school choir (meets three times per 7-day rotation) Middle school choir (meets three times per 7-day rotation) Grade 4 & 5 strings lessons (meets twice per week) Other ensemble such as jazz band (meets once per 7-day rotation) Direct winter and spring concerts Foster a culture of excellence and joy in musicianship Seek out ensemble performance opportunities outside of school Exhibit and instill Christian character in students Minimum Requirements Must affirm Statement of Faith and Teaching Positions. Bachelor''s degree in music education or related field required; Master''s degree preferred. Must be proficient in multiple instruments. Two years of teaching experience or more is preferred. Must exhibit a high degree of cultural competency to contribute within a multi-racial, multi-denominational environment.
